The Return of Title IV Funds on the Web site includes a quick view of students who have not been notified to return Title IV funds. These are students whose Title IV funds (Unsubsidized FFEL/Direct Loan, Subsidized FFEL/Direct Loan, Perkins, FFEL/Direct PLUS Loan, Pell Grant, FSEOG, and other Title IV funds) in Step 8, Box K of the R2T4 tab are greater than zero. You can enter or change the date the student was notified, but the rest of the fields are display only.

Note: Student records with a withdrawal date on or after July 1, 2006 appearing on the Student Notification page may have student repayment obligations for the Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG), National SMART Grant, and Graduate PLUS loan in addition to the other Title IV funds noted. Likewise, student records with a withdrawal date on or after July 1, 2008 may include student repayment obligations for the TEACH Grant.

If the original amount of a Title IV grant overpayment is $50.00 or less the records do not appear on the Student Notification page, because they do not have to be repaid.

To access this view, click Student Record Status on the R2T4 menu. A list of available student record status reports appears. To access the Student Notification view, click View next to the Status Information row for Number of students waiting to be notified.

On the Student Notification page, you can enter an individual Date Student Notified value for each student listed or the records for several or all of the students at once by entering a date for the Default Date, selecting the Selected checkbox next to the students you want to update with the default date, then clicking the Fill All Selected button. You can also click the Select All button to select all of the students listed, then click Fill All Selected to use the default date you have entered.

Click Submit to save your changes.

Note: The Return of Title IV Funds Web site uses different worksheets to perform calculations for R2T4 and Post-Withdrawal Disbursement student records, depending on the student’s withdrawal date. Different fields will appear, and different calculations may be made, depending on the worksheet version you are using. Note the following guidelines:
